I co-founded SMART-TRIAL in 2013 to modernize clinical trials for MedTech, serving first as CTO and then leading commercial operations. We bootstrapped it into one of Europe's notable MedTech software brands, and in 2022 it was acquired by Greenlight Guru in the US, becoming Greenlight Guru Clinical.

Since the exit I've been a full-time investor. As Managing Partner at LIFA Ventures, I back early-stage Nordic MedTech — medical devices, diagnostics and digital health — across Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. LIFA is among the first investors in the Nordics built specifically around MedTech.

In 2024 I founded IceBAN, the Icelandic Business Angel Network, to build a professional platform for angel investing in Iceland. I also speak regularly on MedTech, clinical trials, and startup investing.

I trained as a biomedical engineer (M.Sc., Aalborg University, Denmark) and I'm based in Reykjavík.
